1. Tea Towels

Every kitchen needs plenty of tea towels. But you don’t have to buy them. If it’s time to replace your well-used and dirty towels, here’s a very cute and easy pattern from Etsy.

2. Napkin Bread Warmers

These napkin bread warmers just look so pretty. And they’ve been added to my DIY project list. No one will be able to keep their hands out of the bread basket! 

3. Placemats

I always fall in love with the cute placemats you see in magazines. The problem is they can be expensive. But this is why we like DIY projects. Get a super cute, printable round placemat pattern here.

4. Potholders

I really enjoy giving potholders as gifts.  They’re more practical, and you can always stuff fun extra surprises inside. I don’t like to give the exact same gift each year though, so I’m always on the lookout for good potholders patterns.

5. Table Runner

Table runners are such an easy way to add some personality to your kitchen or your dining room. And totally customizable!

6. Double Oven Mitt

Have you seen double oven mitts? They look perfect for bigger pots and pans.  I’ve tried to find one at local stores, but apparently they aren’t so easy to find.  Find the perfect pattern at Etsy! 

7. Quilted Pot Holder

Whether for yourself or as a gift, pot holders and oven mitts are always in need.  I LOVE the quilted stitching!

8. Dusting Cloths

I’ve always liked the idea of a Swiffer, but I’m always a bit unsure of the expense of the dusting cloths.  Instead, try sewing a few of your own in just 30 minutes with some fabric scraps.

9. Large Hot Pad

While smaller, square hot pads are common, I don’t often see large hot pads.  I have one and love pulling it out–particularly for holiday gatherings.

10. Apron

I’ve been wanting to make an apron for a while now and have been looking for some inspiration.  I think I’ve found my future project.  Now if I can just find the time…

11. Grocery Bag Holder

These are one of the easiest ways to store all your plastic grocery bags for reuse. Stuff the bags into the top, and pull them out the bottom when you need one. Find a pattern here.

12. Cornered Tablecloth

The corners of a wood kitchen table can take a beating, especially if you have kids. The perfect solution is a cornered tablecloth.  I no longer have to worry about the wood getting damaged. Here’s an example of one that you can buy at Etsy.
