Camping has always been our Spring Break tradition! Where are you going for Spring Break? Nowhere in mind? No worries, I have a great list of incredible spring break destinations for families below! Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. is a cool place to visit during any time of year, but it’s especially gorgeous in Spring. From March 21st-April 19th the National Cherry Bloom Festival occurs throughout the city. Not only are there tons of fun things to do during the festival, but there are gorgeous flower blossoms everywhere! Make sure to visit the Smithsonian.

Steamboat Springs

Steamboat Springs is the perfect vacation destination for anyone dying for one last ski run through the powder. The skiing is amazing but the natural hot springs at Strawberry Park are just as fantastic. Head to the Springs after skiing for some much needed R&R. Talk to your hotel concierge about a dinner-time sleigh ride, too. This is the perfect way to say goodbye to winter.

Crater Lake

Spring is the best time of the year to get out into the great outdoors. For tons of photo ops and an opportunity for family bonding at every turn, head to Crater Lake! There are tons of hiking opportunities for all skill levels and the surrounding areas ooze small town charm. Camp at the park, or stay at one of the inns nearby.

The Grand Canyon

If you’ve never been to the Grand Canyon, Spring Break is the perfect time to head out for the first time. Though the park may be a little more crowded during the holiday, it’s a perfect chance to get out and enjoy the sun. Plus, if you time your hikes well, the crowds shouldn’t be much of a problem! Talk to a park ranger about any day programs for kids. I always love to make some part of our family trips educational!

Anaheim

Of course Anaheim, California would make this list! Though crowds may also be an issue at Disneyland, it’s still possible to have a great time. Park guests can use the Disneyland app to minimize ride wait times! While in Anaheim, visit Huntington Beach and Knott’s Berry Farm. Go big or go home, right?
