Inexpensive European Travel: If you’ve always wanted to travel around Europe, but are worried about the expense, there are a few money-saving hacks that I highly recommend. For example, if you are traveling between countries (or even just around town) one of the most cost-effective ways to do so is to use public transportation. And fortunately, the cities throughout Europe have some of the best public transportation networks in the entire world. Here’s how to travel through Europe inexpensively on the bus.
Inexpensive European Travel On The BlaBlaBus
Eurolines
As I mentioned before, one of the cheapest ways to travel around Europe is to do so via bus. I recommend planning your travel via Eurolines. Eurolines is incredibly inexpensive, and you can travel to many destinations for less than five euros. What’s even better is that they have an app so you can plan your travel adequately as you explore the city.
Things To Know About Traveling Via Bus
There are a few things to know about traveling via bus throughout Europe. Not only is traveling via bus much cheaper than doing so via train, but there are constant departures and arrivals. So it’s easy to find a bus that works with your travel schedule.
Additionally, travelers should make it a point to travel during the night if you are really looking to save money. That way, you can sleep on the bus instead of paying for a hotel room. Plus, this way, you won’t lose out on any of your precious exploration time.
It’s also great because travelers can bring their luggage onto the buses free of charge. Whereas travelers have to pay a fee for luggage on airplanes (and sometimes trains.)
Though bus travel is one of the cheapest ways to see Europe, it’s not a travel method without its cons. For example, bus travel can be uncomfortable for extended periods of time, and takes much longer than an airplane or train. Additionally, each member on the bus will have to show their passport when crossing the border of a new country. Naturally, these kinds of border customs can be time consuming and lengthy.
Best Times To Travel Europe Via Bus
The best time to travel through Europe via bus is in the early Autumn months. Late September and early October are the best months for travel because temperatures are just perfect. Plus, it’s always fun to watch the leaves change on trips like this.
