I’m not going to deny it one bit..my favorite part of the holidays is getting totally emerssed in present wrapping. I love crisping my corners, picking gift wrapping themes, and experimenting with different colors of ribbon in search of what looks best! It’s so fun to lock yourself away during the holidays to wrap up gifts for those you love the most. Plus, I always enjoy how they look sitting under the tree! Wrapping presents always makes me feel a little bit like a holiday elf!
I’ve already started wrapping presents and I can’t wait to share a few of my favorite gift wrapping themes for Christmas. This year, craft paper is bigger than ever and polka dots are making a HUGE splash!
*P.S. I’m already a huge advocate of craft paper! Unlike regular gift wrap, you can recycle craft paper!
Classic Red And Green
There’s nothing wrong with keeping your gift wrapping theme classic! Don’t be afraid to mix and match the color shades such as the photo below. It keeps things interesting while sticking to the overall theme! This wrapping paper package from Amazon has a similar theme to the photo below!
Bold and Bright
Head to your local craft store for rolls of craft paper! This is a great option for those looking for a bohemian wrapping paper theme. Add sprigs of holiday berries and greenery to keep the packages holiday-appropriate. Write the names of your recepients on the bottoms of the packages.
Grey Craft Paper
On the other end of the spectrum, grey craft paper is a softer option but the bit of red makes them look like they belong under a Christmas tree. I like to write the names of your recepients in white colored pencil! Find grey craft paper here.Â
Patterned
I’m a fan of mixing and matching wrapping paper! So long as they all stick to a general design scheme I love popping in an unexpected pattern. Brown craft paper always makes for a great filler when it comes to pattern-mixing! Find gift tags similar at Amazon!
Red and Gold
A red and gold wrapping paper theme adds a hint of sophistication to the space under your tree. Christmas is a great time to use any odd-sized scraps of ribbon, don’t be afraid to go crazy with patterns or textures! It looks beautiful below!
Pretty In Pink
Foil wrapping paper always looks wonderful under a Christmas tree. It’s just something about the way those lights gleam! A mixture of colored foil paper, tulle bows, and an elegant pattern scattered throughout these look as if they came from a fairyale.
