I’ve always loved baths! There’s something so relaxing about sitting in a warm tub with a book and a glass of wine at the end of a busy day. There’s really no better way to relax! Recently, I’ve been really into detox baths. Not only do they leave my skin looking clear and feeling amazing, but they’re great for almost every other aspect of your body, too. Here are my favorite detox recipes for the bath.
Homemade Detox Recipes For The Bath That Really Work ( And Smell Great Too)
¼ cup baking soda
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup sea salt or Himalayan salt
¼ cup Epsom salt
To make, dissolve sea salt, Epsom salt, and baking soda into a boiling pot of water. Once dissolved, pour the mixture into a container and add the apple cider vinegar. Shake well and pour into a warm bath. Soak for thirty minutes at a time.
2 cups hydrogen peroxide
1 tbsp dried ground ginger
Fill the bath with both ingredients and sit for thirty minutes or longer. Due to the substances in this detox, it can really clear your head. In fact, this homemade detox recipe for the bath is especially great when home sick with a cold.
1/2 cup sea salt
1 1/2 tsp grated organic ginger
1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 cup wild rose petals
1/3 cup oatmeal
Pour all of the ingredients above into a warm bath and soak for thirty minutes, allowing the oatmeal to break down a bit. Shower when complete so that any remnants on your skin (and tub) are cleaned off. These kinds of detox bath are always my favorites, so relaxing!
1/2 cup Epsom salt
1/2 cup bentonite clay
3 drops French lavender essential oil
3 drops frankincense essential oil
A handful of lavender flowers
Combine the salt, clay, and essential oils together and run a warm bath. Let the salt and clay dissolve for a bit before adding a handful of lavender flowers to the mix. Sit and enjoy for 30-40 minutes. As always, I find it nice to rinse off in the shower following a detox bath.
Charcoal Detox (For Clear Skin)
2 cups of Epsom salts
1 cup bentonite clay
1 tablespoon real salt
1/2 teaspoon activated charcoal
Add all ingredients to your bath, letting the charcoal powder and salts dissolve. Soak for thirty minutes.
