This is a fun craft, easy for the kiddos or great for a ladies night. Kissing Balls have a slightly deceiving name. No, you will not be kissing these decorations (unless you love them as much as we do). Instead, you’ll be hanging them from the ceiling to show off for party guests, visitors, or simply to light up your own little world. Here’s how you can make these easy crafts all on your own…
Gather your supplies:
Styrofoam balls
crepe paper or lightweight fabric
hot glue gun and plenty of extra glue sticks
Step One – make lots and lots of decorative flowers out of your crepe paper or left over fabric. Ideally, you’ll need pretty lightweight fabric if you’re going that route. Since you typically hang kissing balls from the ceiling, too much weight from heavy fabrics can cause a problem. Remember to wrap loosely for a more detailed flower.
Step Two – Glue your newly made flowers to your styrofoam balls. Depending on the size of your styrofoam, you should plan on making upwards of 75-100 paper flowers.
Step Three – Display your kissing balls anywhere! This can be done with candle holders, fishing line attached to the ceiling, on table tops, or fire place mantels! They make great decorations for weddings, bouquets, parties, and home.
