Last Saturday marked the first day of the new season and I was wrapping fall leaf garland around my porch columns before my family even got up that morning! If you love Fall as much as I do (and let’s be honest, who DOESN’T love fall?) you’ve probably decorated with dried leaves, flowers, and corn stalks at some point. But have you dried decorating for Fall with pinecones? If you haven’t, it’s definitely time to start! Liven up your home with a few of these terrific (and easy to make) pinecone fall decor ideas.

Pinecone Wreath

The best way to make your home look more “fall ready” is to decorate your porch! When decorating my porch for fall, I always make sure that I never forget a wreath. Using a foam wreath ring, attach each of your pinecones with a dab of hot glue. Add dried flowers or red berries in wherever you feel they are necessary. Don’t forget to hang it on your front door when things are all said and done.

Pinecone Turkey

I know you remember making this classic craft in elementary school around the holidays! If you are looking for a fun pinecone fall decor craft idea for kids, you must try this one out! Use a pinecone as the base of the turkey and cut the feathers out of construction paper. Attach with craft glue and be sure that you draw on a face! Display these wherever you find appropriate.

Pinecone Centerpiece

As any wedding planner knows, centerpieces are everything! Though we aren’t planning a wedding, centerpieces are still an important aspect of all things home decor. This fall, make a bowl of pinecones your gorgeous centerpiece. You can even make your pinecones more festive by adding a coat of paint or a sprinkle of glitter.

Pinecone Garland

A holiday garland is a great way to make any space look a little more festive. String together a few pinecones on a long piece of ribbon for a little touch of fall flair spread throughout your home. You can even add a string of Christmas lights to make your garland look THAT much more festive.

Pinecone Table Decoration

We aren’t stopping with centerpieces! Even your end tables need a little pinecone fall decor! Place your pinecones in a large glass jar (I like to use these ones) and fill things out with a string of magic Christmas lights (I use these ones for projects like this). Turn on the lights for even more of a magical holiday touch.

Pinecone Candle Holder

Make any (electric) candle holiday appropriate with a little pinecone accent. To complete, you will have to gather as many large pinecones as needed for the project and adapt them so they can easily hold an electric candle. To create the space needed to display a candle, you’ll want to use pliers to remove and pull out the pinecone scales. After you have removed the necessary scales, you should be able to place your candle in the pinecone easily. Add a layer of glue if you think that your candle holders need a little extra support.
